Today in the news:

Congress received the results from a recent internet poll they conducted.

The poll provided two choices:
A) Trump stays in office
B) We the people change the official American flag to the Pepsi logo and Trump is automatically impeached.

The poll is part of a new law proposed to Congress. The law states that if 51% of citizens (in a poll where at least 100 million citizens participate) vote for option B, Trump will be removed from office and the Pepsi logo will, in fact, become our flag.

Congress is now reporting that 61% of votes were recorded in favor of option B with 119 million citizens participating.

Trump has issued a series of tweets claiming the votes were counted wrong and that it’s the mainstream media’s fault. Political analysts are criticizing Congress on more substantial grounds based on congressional law.

Pepsi has responded to numerous inquiries with a brief statement:

“It was a phenomenal branded content offer we just couldn’t pass up. Plus, the deal had incredible PR benefits as well. We’re still counting all the impressions from the various channels.”

Coca-Cola has yet to respond to our requests for comment.

Protests have broken out in major cities today, both for and against the law.

Congress has only reported the results of the poll. They have yet to inform us how they will proceed.

Updates will be on our website and Twitter feed as we receive more information.
